Levels
Beginners A1
In level A1 you learn how to understand, speak and read Dutch on an elementary level. You learn how to introduce yourself, talk about your family, hobbies, the weather and what did you did at the weekend. Telling the time, shopping and ordering in a restaurant or café and, of course, making an appointment, are part of this level too.
Pre-intermediate A2
In level A2 you will add another layer to your knowledge of level A1. You'll learn how to have more in-depth conversations about work and your free time activities and how to tell stories about your past. Practical matters like visiting your local government, the doctor, the school system, the news and other things about Dutch culture and society.
Intermediate B1
B1 will add a more abstract layer to your Dutch knowledge. It's a broad level that is spread out over 2 courses: B1.1 and B1.2. In this course you will learn about comunication, media, Dutch society, geography, art and politics.
You start to have discussions and be able to express your opinion in more detail.
Upper-Intermediate B2
B2 takes you to a working level and it is all about abstract vocabulary and expressing nuance. You will be able to understand most work-related conversations and e-mails, letters from your local government and news podcasts or television.
The topics in this level are nature, science, economics, health and safety, the environment, Dutch history, policitics and the law system. enough for 2 courses: B2.1 and B2.2.
Advanced C1
In advanced you will work towards an academic level of the language. You'll be able to understand long, complex and not necessarily structured speech, texts and discussions. Abstraction rules. You will add many new words and expressions to your vocabulary list and you will be able to express yourself fluently, without hesitating much. This level consists of 2 courses: C1.1 and C1.2.
Proficiency C2
C2 means that you have reached native academic level. Not many native speakers have this level, so it's truly amazing when you reach this level.
You can virtually understand anything you hear, see and read. Your speaking skills are amazingly smooth and effortless with great detail and nuance.
C2 courses are typically taught one-on-one to focus on the area of expertise of the student and work with their daily materials.
